The purpose of this page is to document the names found on small documents–such as package tags or receipts– from the post office archives, so that site visitors can look for the names of their Anderson County ancestors (or “kin,” as we say around here).

Our ultimate goal is to return these nostalgic items to interested descendants, relatives, residents, and former residents.
We’ll never charge for these items. The OSPO invests the time and funds required to painstakingly sort, document, store, and share them. We do this as a labor of love–an important way of learning about and serving our community. However, we are a 501(c)(3) charity, so any donation you make in support of our work is both meaningful and tax-exempt.
